Procurement and compliance consulting grounded in 19 years as the federal Contracting Officer on the other side of your contract. Now, working for you.
"Do the common things uncommonly well."— John D. Rockefeller
First or the latest of many, federal contracts don't forgive what you don't know.
They also don't forgive what you don't do well.
Both show up. In the proposal that didn't make it past the compliance review. In the sources sought response that missed the point. In the questions not asked. And the ones that reveal exactly how well a contractor understood the requirement.
For 19 years, I was the person on the other side of your government contract. I know what compliant looks like. I know what winning looks like. And I know the difference between a contractor who understands what the government is actually asking for — and one who doesn't.
That is the Mayeday difference.
We work across the full spectrum — from complex, high-value programs to the routine service contract that nobody has reviewed in three years but absolutely should. Construction, services, A&E, commodities, research, defense programs, and more. Fixed-price, cost-reimbursement, time-and-materials, IDIQs, BPAs, and beyond. If it involves a federal contract, then we know where to start.
The Mayeday Promise
Every Mayeday engagement is tailored to your organization's specific regulatory environment, effective enough to solve the problem at hand, and sustainable enough to outlast our time together.

We read any regulation — federal, state, foundation, or industry-specific — and translate it into plain-language policies, workflows, and training your team can actually use.
For any organization navigating complex compliance requirements across sectors.
We design and implement compliance programs that protect your organization, close policy gaps, and hold up under audit.
For agencies, nonprofits, and businesses that need their procurement practices to be sound, not just on paper.
We provide senior contracts leadership on a flexible basis, without the overhead of a full-time hire.
For organizations that need an experienced Director of Contracts but aren't ready for a permanent position.
A structured 90-minute compliance assessment of your federal contract portfolio or grant awards, followed by a written summary of your top risks and recommended next steps.
For GovCons who want an honest picture of where their compliance posture stands — and for federally funded organizations navigating 2 CFR 200 procurement requirements.
Full lifecycle management from award through closeout — ensuring compliance, performance, and timely execution.
For organizations that need hands-on support managing active grants and contracts.
Case study-based training built around your organization's real contracts, regulations, and challenges — not generic slides.
For teams that need practical, applicable knowledge they can use from day one.
We review solicitations and proposals with the same critical eye used to evaluate them on the government side — identifying compliance gaps, requirements misreads, and positioning risks before they cost you the award.
For contractors developing proposals or organizations evaluating RFPs who want an experienced read before it matters.
Procurement policies, SOPs, and governance frameworks built from scratch or refined to reflect current regulations and best practices.
For organizations that have outgrown informal processes and need documented, enforceable standards.
We review, redline, and negotiate a broad range of government and commercial agreements — IDIQs, task orders, teaming agreements, MSAs, SOWs, and vendor contracts.
For any organization that needs experienced eyes on a contract before it's signed.
A structured review of your existing compliance program — identifying gaps, risks, and opportunities before they become findings.
For organizations that already have a compliance program and want to know if it's actually working.
Mayeday Solutions LLC was founded by Aleshia L. Brooks, J.D. Ms. Brooks began her career as a contracting trainee at the U.S. General Services Administration in Chicago. She spent 19 years earning Unlimited Contracting Officer Warrants, managing portfolios worth hundreds of millions of dollars across GSA, the U.S. Air Force, and HHS, and advising senior leaders on complex procurement and compliance challenges. That journey — from trainee to Director-level leader — is the foundation of everything we do. We don't advise from a textbook. We advise from experience.
During her career, Ms. Brooks developed the instinct to ask the right questions before a problem develops, the judgment to apply a regulation to relevant facts, and the discipline to know where to look when the answer isn't obvious.
"Aleshia has the natural ability to see the big picture but also capture the small details that matter. Because of the many different experiences she has had, she has the ability to give guidance on many different areas of expertise. She is also resourceful and asks great questions to get to the issues that matter."— Former Federal Colleague
